“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” – Colossians 2:6-7
What would it look like to live a life fully rooted in Christ? Would it change the way we treated the people we live with? Would it change the way we conduct ourselves in the world? From April to June we are going to look at Paul’s letter to the people in Colossae and seek to understand the context in which he is writing. The subversive content of Colossians would have been explosive to the readers and culture at the time and is no less subversive in our own time. We will put down deeper roots into our love and understanding of Christ and learn to live in the world with a Christ-centered ethic.
