For those who consider Olivet their church home, we have a number of convenient ways to donate in addition to placing donations in the offering plate on Sunday mornings. Please note that some ways of giving incur more hidden processing fees than others (some indication of the fees are noted below).
- Pre-Authorized Debit
Pre-Authorized Debit is a great way to keep your giving regular with only a little bit of set-up from you. With pre-authorized debit, your pre-set gift is automatically deducted from your account on the 1st and/or 15th of the month. Simply click on the file titled "PAD authorization" under the "Available Files to Download" section at the bottom of this page. Then print and complete the form and return it to us along with a VOID cheque, either in the Sunday offering plate or by mail, or through the mail slot outside the office door.
- Interac E-Transfer
To give using Interac e-Transfer please use this email address to send your donation to Olivet: finance@olivet.bc.ca
In the note field of your transaction request, please indicate that it is a donation. The donations are automatically deposited into our account, so there is no need for a security question (if your bank requires a security question, send an additional email with the answer to your security question to finance@olivet.bc.ca so that we can accept your donation).
- Online through Charitable Impact Foundation
Please note that 2.8% of all credit card giving goes to credit card companies. For example, if you give $100 on-line, Olivet will get $97.20. Also, all tax receipts for giving by credit card to Olivet Baptist Church will be sent to you by Charitable Impact.
General Fund:
Will Bequest
From time to time the church receives bequests from the estates of members and adherents who have passed away. For those of you wishing to leave such a bequest, there is a downloadable form below entitled, "Form of Bequest" which, in consultation with a legal advisor, could be inserted into a Will. It should be noted that in drawing up a Will a person who has tithed to their church during their lifetime may wish to consider tithing their estate rather than giving a specific amount.
We are also pleased when family members consider suggesting that donations might be made to one of our funds in memory of a member or adherent of our congregation. Any of the pastors are pleased to assist in the choice of such a designated fund to suit the particular ministry interest of the deceased. Olivet maintains a Memorial Fund that is used for special capital projects at the direction of Council.
